Dedicated to Jade Bouedo
Omega Phi Alpha is proud to dedicate this year's event to Jade Bouedo, a student, friend, and sister of the Wolfpack community who lost her life to mental health struggles in April 2022. At NC State, Jade was a dedicated human biology student who enjoyed being a part of the French club and playing intramural soccer. True to Omega Phi Alpha’s values, Jade loved serving others in her community through her work with UNC Rex Hospital, Maxim Healthcare, and CVS Pharmacy. Outside of class, she could always be found wherever the sun and the water was - her favorite spot was at the lake with friends. Jade touched countless lives in her time at NC State. Her infectious smile and laugh shined beyond those who knew her, and she will always be described as generous, fun, and fearless. As an avid runner, Jade was a part of the Cary High School Cross Country team and could often be found running around campus. To honor her memory, Omega Phi Alpha invites you to join us on April 8th, 2023 as we run for Jade and outrace the stigma surrounding mental health.
Far too many students have lost their lives this year due to mental health issues.
Omega Phi Alpha and NAMI continue to come together to show students that help is available, recovery is possible, and you are never alone.
