Day of Details

To our participants:

All the members of Omega Phi Alpha are look forward to welcoming you to our 5k in 2021! The address of the Monteith Research Center Plaza (where the starting line and check-in will be held) is 2410 Campus Shores Drive Raleigh, NC 27606. 

Below please find important information about parking, check-in and registration, the post race festival, and other reminders.

Parking

​We recommend parking in one of the following three decks each are free of charge:

  • Monteith Research Center Deck

  • Oval West Deck

  • Poulton Deck

Post-race festival

We are excited to extend an invitation for all our participants and/or anyone who donates more than $10 and visits our check-in table to attend our post race festival! Our goal is to promote mental health and wellbeing - the main attraction of our post-race festival will be tables with information and booths from various mental health and wellbeing resources.

 

Also, with your $10 donation or registration fee, the post-race festival also includes:

  • TBD! We're planning fun festivities currently!

  • Check-in & registration begins at 9 a.m.

  • Our opening ceremonies for the race, including several brief speakers and important information begins at 10 a.m., with the race starting shortly after.

  • Buttons, stickers, and t-shirts will be available for pick-up at registration.

  • NOTE: Day of registration is available. Please invite your friends and also know that anyone is welcome with $10 donation to participate in the post-race festival as long as they visit the check-in table. These individuals that choose not to walk or running the 5k will be given a wrist-band.

Other Reminders

  • Before participating in the 5k, all runners must have signed a waiver. Registered participants, see email for more details

  • Per University Policy as this race is held on NCSU's campus, the only welcome dogs or animals at the event are service animals

  • For more information about the 5k route, please visit the general information page.

  • There will be two water stations throughout the course.

  • There will be many smiling members of Omega Phi Alpha on race day to answer any questions!
